Ivan Perisic was the main guest for Inter’s matchday program, which the club publishes ahead of every home game, and today it was the Croatian international winger’s turn, to talk about his past and he began by talking about the first Christmas gift he had received.

“I remember it was a ball, but it definitely wasn’t the first one I had received. Let’s just say that at home everyone understood that sports were my greatest passion.”

“I love to practice almost all sports and I don’t miss a game of basketball or volleyball. You know what? If I hadn’t made it as a footballer, I would probably be playing in the NBA.”

“I left home at 17 and I remember how I experienced my first ever goal. The more time passes the more I get excited thinking about that day. The first game I ever saw at a stadium was a home game of Hajduk Split. I carefully watched all the forwards because when I started playing I was a striker.”

He finished off by describing how he feels about playing at the San Siro:

“It is an absolutely beautiful atmosphere.”
