Inter’s Croatian international winger Ivan Perisic, was interviewed by Inter TV after having helped his Nerazzurri draw 1-1 against Roma by scoring the equalizer, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Perisic argued that Inter could and maybe should have won the match but that in the end maybe a draw was a fair result.

“We tried to give everything we have, from the first minute. Before Roma scored we had a bunch of chances but we did not manage to score, and then we made a bunch of defensive mistakes. In the second half we pushed even more and were able to find a goal, in the end the equalizer came deservedly. We also tried to win the match, but today we’re happy for one point, for how our situation is. We are third, we are feeling well, we will continue like this.”

“We have to improve [on converting our chances], because we create a lot of chances but we are lacking in the final 20 meters. We must work on this, it is only this way that we can score more goals and end the season with as many points as possible. It is beautiful to score in Milano, but aside from the goal what is important is that Inter wins all the matches.”

“We know Juventus more or less, they have won the Serie A these last 8 years. They are a strong team, they will come here to win and we have to be at our best. During the week we will prepare for the match, we have the power to win against them.”

“We are Inter, we have to look at all matches as ones we can because we are a strong team. We can win against all the teams. Now we are looking towards the Juventus match, we want to end the season in third place but what is important is that we qualify for the Champions League.”
