Should Inter fail in their pursuit to land Nicolas Pepe from Lille, they will instead go after Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech according to a report from France Football.
The Moroccan attacker has been one of the stars of the show for Ajax in their fairy-tale run to the Champions League semi-finals this season and is contracted to the Dutch club through to the end of the 2020/21 season.
The 26-year-old has 15 goals and 13 assists in Eredivise action this season and has tallied a further four goals and three assists across all other competitions.
As per France Football’s report, he is not the only Ajax player who could potentially be headed for San Siro come the Summer transfer window.
Full back Nicolas Tagliafico has also recently drawn links to the Nerazzurri as they look to improve at full back, an area of the team they have struggled to improve upon for a number of years now.
