If Inter are to appoint Antonio Conte as their new manager over the course of the Summer, the Nerazzurri will go after Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Conte is a huge admirer of the Belgian’s talents and wanted Lukaku whilst he was at Chelsea but Manchester United pipped him to the signing of Lukaku from Everton.

As with everything in life, this move will come down to money. If Inter are to bring in Conte, they will need to sack current manager Luciano Spalletti and his staff, something that will cost €25 million. Conte’s salary will presumably be in double figures and then Inter need to try and strike a deal firstly with United and then with the striker himself.

The Rome based newspaper state that the easiest way for Inter to acquire Lukaku would be through a swap deal that would see Mauro Icardi go to Old Trafford.

Lukaku aside, Inter have also drawn links with Roma’s Edin Dzeko, Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata and Valencia’s Rodrigo.
