After two days of rest, the team will resume training this morning ahead of Saturday’s big match in the Serie A against Juventus, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
Marcelo Brozovic will be available for selection against the Old Lady, but Luciano Spalletti was impressed by Borja Valero’s performance against Roma on the weekend.
The Spaniard completed 96% of all of his passes, something that has been highlighted in today’s newspaper by Rome based Corriere dello Sport.
According to the report: “This could mean that Valero gets another start ahead of Brozovic, now that Spalletti feels comfortable in the success of the former Fiorentina veteran in that position, giving Brozovic a bit more time to recover, without risking further injury.”
“After all, we are now in the most crucial stage of the season and Brozovic is considered vital to the system, so saving the Croatian in a game where Juventus are the favourites, might be considered viable.”
Furthermore, all players were able to escape suspension for this weekend, so everyone will be available.
