Legendary Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi has commented on the highly competitive battle to qualify for the Champions League next season and is of the belief that Inter will indeed qualify for the competition.
“Inter have a five point lead over fourth and fifth and it seems to me that now, after the recent turmoil, the Inter car has been fixed,” Sacchi, said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
As part of the interview with the Milan based newspaper, the 73-year-old spoke on Inter’s next match against their arch-rivals Juventus, who were crowned Serie A champions for the eighth consecutive season at the weekend.
“Of course, their next match against Juventus will be very important. If the Nerazzurri pass that obstacle too, then the path will be downhill for them but Juventus will certainly not make things easy for them.”
Just five games remain in the 2018/19 Serie A season and there is no less than six teams vying for qualification from Inter in third to Lazio in eighth.
