Journalist Mario Sconcerti has spoken on the distance between the Milanese clubs and Juventus after the Bianconeri wrapped up their eighth straight Serie A title.

“I believe that the distance between Juventus and the others will not be reduced. There are no suitable players to close this type of distance. Milan and Inter have the money, but as I say there are no players,” he said.

“Inter have not got a team capable of competing for the league title and if they start over it will be the same next year either.”

Sconcerti then spoke on whether he thought Inter could finish in second place come the end of the season with them six points behind current second placed side Napoli.

“We are talking about two imperfect teams but I think the six points of Napoli are a sufficient guarantee for them. There is no other team to battle for the title other than Juventus, everyone else is going for the Champions League and this inevitably lowers the parameters required to meet this.”
