Angelo Di Livio, a former teammate of Antonio Conte, has revealed that his friend is intrigued by the prospect of managing Roma.

“Antonio and I have recently spoken with each other. I cannot reveal exactly what we said to one another but I know that he likes the idea of Roma which would represent a major challenge for him,” he revealed in an interview with TeleRadioStereo.

“He is looking for a similar project where he would be starting from the bottom and taking a club to the top.”

Former Chelsea manager Conte, who has also managed Juventus and the Italian national team among others, has drawn strong links to the Giallorossi since they sacked Eusebio Di Francesco and appointed Claudio Ranieri on an interim basis.

He has also drawn heavy links to Inter with the Nerazzurri reportedly of the belief that Conte can help them take the next step, something current boss Luciano Spalletti seemingly can’t do.
