Corriere della Sera have taken a look at Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s first few months at Inter and have praised him for the way he has handled all the problems thrown at him.

“Marotta’s first months at Inter turned out to be even more complicated than he could have imagined between players arriving late for training, others who requested to be transferred in January and also the wife-agent of Icardi to keep at bay. During this Marotta has managed everything as if he were still at Juve, where the rules were and are always respected,” the report reads.

The report then goes on to look to the future, specifically the coaching situation at the club as rumours persist that Antonio Conte could be brought in.

“It has not yet been collectively decided who will be the coach next season. Marotta meanwhile has no doubts in this regard and is talking to Antonio Conte who he worked with already at Juve and considers the ideal coach for the growth process of Inter and to reduce the gap with Juventus. Although sacking Spalletti and his staff, who have another two years under contract, would cost €20 million.”
