Lautaro Martinez will retain his place over Mauro Icardi in Inter’s starting XI this evening when Inter play Juventus at San Siro, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
El Toro went straight back into the side against Roma last weekend after shaking off a thigh injury sustained on international duty, with Icardi brought on for the final 35 minutes.
Luciano Spalletti is believed to prefer Lautaro to the club’s ex-captain and will keep faith with the 21-year-old against the Bianconeri.
Marcelo Brozovic is also in line to start in the Derby d’Italia after missing the matches against Frosinone and Roma through injury, with Matias Vecino expected to partner the Croatian in midfield.
Danilo D’Ambrosio is again preferred to Cedric Soares at right-back while Radja Nainggolan keeps his place in attacking midfield.
Inter will all but secure qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League with a win over the champions tonight.
Inter’s probable starting XI (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah; Vecino, Brozovic; Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic; Lautaro.
