Report Suggests That Inter Are Trying To Secure Man City’s Gundogan On A Free Transfer

Both Marotta and Ausilio in recent years have been able to secure players on a free transfer and according to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, the two would like to continue this trend by targeting Ilkay Gundogan for 2020 when his Manchester City contract will expire.

“In the last few months, Inter has focused a lot on the player. This will be a big move as the player is asking for €9 million per season. Today, this is a sum that is almost impossible for Inter, but thanks to the exit from the settlement agreement and qualification for the Champions League, the scenario at the end of the year could be quite different.”

“Inter are not the only club after the player. Half of Europe are trying to get Gundogan to sign for them. There are many variables in the negotiation.”

“The biggest threat is that clubs like Juventus, Bayern, Monaco, and Real Madrid are after him. These clubs have the economic strength to sign Gundogan in the Summer by paying his value to City.”
