Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has confirmed that Luciano Spalletti will remain in charge of the club next season.

There has been a lot of media speculation surrounding the future of Spalletti at the club but Marotta’s comments should now put an end to all the speculation.

Former Italian national team manager Antonio Conte has been heavily linked with a move to Inter whilst some reports have suggested a return for Jose Mourinho could be on the cards.

“Have I already chosen the Coach for next season? It is Spalletti, he has a contract, we are happy with him,” Marotta said during a speech at the presentation of journalist Alberto Costa’s new book, ‘From Calciopoli to Pink Floyd.’

Spalletti has been in charge at Inter since the Summer of 2017 and guided Inter to Champions League qualification in his maiden campaign in charge.

The 62-year-old experienced tactician is also on course to lead Inter to the Champions League again this season too.
