Inter have had scouts watch the Dutch international on several occasions in recent months and Ajax are understood to value him at no less than €50 million.
The Nerazzurri are not alone in courting van de Beek and face competition from Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur for his signature.
The north London club are seemingly ready to cough up the €50 million in the event that star man Christian Eriksen leaves the club amid persistent links with a Summer transfer window switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
22-year-old van de Beek is a product of Ajax’s famed youth academy and is under contract in Amsterdam through to the end of the 2021/22 season.
This season he has made 52 appearances across all competitions for Ajax and has played a pivotal role in helping them reach the Champions League semi-finals.
In 3678 minutes on the field, van de Beek has scored 15 goals and tallied 11 assists.
