Inter are keen to find a long term partner for Marcelo Brozovic in the midfield this Summer and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have three names in mind.

Ilkay Gundogan is considered the Inter management’s favourite due to the fact he has a contract expiring in just over a year and has no intention of renewing. His €9 million annual salary however could prove troublesome.

If Inter’s move for Gundogan is to fall flat, the alternatives are Lorenzo Pellegrini and Dennis Praet. Both are more to suited to a 4-3-3, but they play the same role as Gundogan.

The Roman is the more tempting of the two since his release clause is €30 million. While, Praet is valued at €26 million and has a more affordable salary and has given signs of being able to take the jump to a bigger club, but in comparison to Pellegrini, he does have any European experience.

Despite this, Inter trust Sampdoria’s methods as their players have proved to be successful for Inter. Arsenal are also interested, following their success with Lucas Torreira.
