Paris Saint Germain and Atletico Madrid are vying for the signature of Inter striker Mauro Icardi but he would prefer to remain in Italy according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Icardi and even more so his outspoken wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi have made it clear in recent weeks that their desire is to remain in Italy but Inter seem to want to move them out of Milan despite this given the recent controversy they have created.

It will take any interested party at least €70 million for Inter to deal the 26-year-old striker but a number of potential swap deals have been speculated about in the media.

One such swap deal that has been mentioned is one involving Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku. The powerful Belgian striker has certainly not hidden his ambition to play in Italy either lately.

Icardi has made 33 appearances across all competitions this term for Inter. In 2752 minutes on the field, he has netted 16 times and tallied five assists.
