Upon linking up with his Italian national team teammates, Eddie Salcedo has spoken on his desire to remain at Inter.

The 17-year-old attacker is currently on loan at Inter from Genoa with Inter having an option to turn his stay at the club permanent at the end of the season.

“Being redeemed by Inter at the end of the season? I will have to ensure that I deserve it with my performances on the field but it is clear that I would like to stay at the club,” he remarked in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“I have to improve myself and not think about anything else other than that. The excitement of being here is very high because every boy my age would like to be here and I will try to take advantage of it.”

The youngster has made 30 appearances across all competitions for Inter’s Primavera side and has netted 13 goals in that time. He has also made the first team squad on several occasions throughout the season.
