Inter are to decide between Nicolas Pepe and Federico Chiesa to become the club’s top attacking target in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Corriere dello Sport,
Starting with the latter, “the Fiorentina winger is considered the ideal top player to start the new Nerazzurri project with Conte on the bench, but also in the event that Spalletti remains on the bench,” the report reads.
Inter face strong competition from arch-rivals Juventus for his signature but Inter are not worried as they are ready to make the big investment required to sign a top attacker. When it comes to Chiesa, Inter will try and lower his price slightly by including a player or players.
Pepe certainly has different characteristics to those of Chiesa but Inter still very much like what he could potentially bring. As per Lille’s president’s own admission, his exit from the club seems imminent amid interest from Inter, Bayern Munich and a number of others.
