Inter are in pole position to sign Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella this Summer according to a report from Tuttosport, who detail how Inter plan to go about signing him.

The Rossoblu are understood to value their star man at no less than €45 million and Inter intend to make up part of the deal through inserting some young players, similarly to what they did to complete deals for Milan Skriniar and Radja Nainggolan in recent years.

Inter could offer one, or a combination of, Lorenzo Gavioli, Marco Pompetti, Andrea Adorante, Davide Merola, Thomas Schiro, Michele Di Gregorio, Xian Emmers or Andrea Pinamonti.

The report goes on to state that it can not be excluded that Andrei Radu is loaned to the Sardinian outfit. Inter intend to exercise their buy-back option on him but will loan him back out and it could be to Cagliari, particularly if Alessio Cragno departs the club.
