Inter’s proposed signing of Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian and Manchester City’s Danilo  could have consequences for Juventus’ Portuguese international full-back Joao Cancelo, Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

According to the report, it is widely known that the Nerazzurri are very keen on signing both the Brazilian as well as the Italian fullback from the two Manchester clubs, but this could inadvertently ignite a bidding war between the two Premier League clubs.

“Cancelo’s future seems to point to the city of Manchester. City are selling Brazilian fullback Danilo whilst United are about to step aside and let Darmian leave for Inter. Both clubs have however, inquired about Joao Cancelo, the former Nerazzurri man who left Valencia for €40 million to join Juventus, and who now is worth at least €60 million. The bidding war has begun…”

Cancelo joined Inter on loan with an option to buy, ahead of the 2017/2018 season, and despite both club and player wanting to continue working together, it was not to be due to the terms of the Settlement Agreement agreed with UEFA, prompting Cancelo to end up at Juventus.
