According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are not quite done yet when it comes to working on their defensive department for next season.

Danilo is at the top of the list. This is a player that would be good for Inter regardless of whether they continue with Luciano Spalletti or switch to Antonio Conte.

There is already an agreement with Inter for a long contract (4-5 seasons) worth €3.5 million euros. City are likely not to be difficult to deal with and a deal can be closed for around €15 million.

Inter are also monitoring the situation of Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier, who is also being followed by fellow Serie A clubs Napoli and Juventus.

The alternative would be Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj. Spalletti likes the player as he has international experience and can play on either side of the pitch.

In recent times, Inter have made contact with the player’s represenatives, who have made it known that his adventure at Napoli is over. His contract expires in 2021 and Napoli could command a relatively high fee for him.

Finally there is Emerson Palmieri, who like Danilo, would work if Spalletti remained or if Conte came in. He did well with Spalletti’s Roma whilst Conte signed him at Chelsea.
