Mauro Icardi will not be part of Inter’s plans next season and prospective new Inter manager Antonio Conte is well aware of this according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
“Conte was adequately informed of what happened this season starting, therefore, from the episodes and the situations that led to the removal of the captain’s armband, up to what happened after, or to the more than 50 days spent on the couch before going back to make himself available.
After learning all of this, “Conte agreed it would be better to start a new adventure without Icardi.”
With Icardi set to leave the Nerazzurri, the club will obviously need to bring in someone to replace him and they have a few names in mind.
Roma’s Edin Dzeko and Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku are both being looked at as potential replacements and both are players Conte likes as evidenced by his interest in them during his time in charge of Chelsea.
Juventus’ Paulo Dybala is another option but the Argentine is seemingly not thinking about a switch to the Nerazzurri.
