Now seemingly resigned to the fact he will not be in charge next season, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti hopes to finish his adventure in the best way possible over the course of the remaining weeks of the current season according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
“Luciano Spalletti wants to close his Inter adventure in the best way possible.
“To do this, the Tuscan coach has a double ambition: to help Inter qualify for the Champions League and possibly do so with the team finishing in third place in the league table.”
If he achieves this, it will be the second consecutive season that Inter have qualified for European football’s premier continental competition.
Moreover, it will be an improvement on last year’s league placing by one position, even if Inter could achieve this with less points than they picked up last term.
Despite only signing a contract extension at the end of last year, it is being widely reported that Antonio Conte will come in to replace him this Summer as Inter look to get themselves closer to Juventus.
