Steven Zhang Has Decided Antonio Conte Will Be The New Inter Manager

Inter president Steven Zhang has made his decision. Antonio Conte will be manager of Inter next season according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

Conte is seen as the man who can help Inter compete with Juventus in the years to come and Inter’s shaky finish to the season under Luciano Spalletti has been a contributing factor in Zhang’s decision to focus on Conte.

The former Italian national team manager has also given his blessing to take charge of the club due to the fact he sees Inter’s project as an ambitious one that meets his own personal desires.

As per the report, Inter will adopt a three-man defence upon Conte’s arrival at the club. In fact, it is almost a choice he is obliged to make given Inter already have Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar whilst Diego Godin is on his way in.

As part of the tactics overhaul, new full/wing backs will be signed to compliment Conte’s system.

Inter are working hard to sign Manchester City’s Danilo who will occupy the right hand side. There is already an agreement in principle between the club and the Brazilian.

The Nerazzurri will also try to land Matteo Darmian from Manchester United, a player Conte is a big fan of.

Atalanta’s Robin Gosens, Monaco’s Djibril Sidibe and Chelsea trio Davide Zappacosta, Emerson Palmieri and Victor Moses are all also possible options.
