Mauro Icardi’s future undoubtedly lies far away from Inter after the events of the past few months and Tuttosport have examined how the Argentine could be moved on.
Inter, who got the go-ahead from Antonio Conte, will try to move Icardi on through a swap deal, possibly for either Paulo Dybala or Romelu Lukaku.
A swap deal would allow Inter to bring in a player appreciated by the future coach to Milan and at the same time to put a considerable capital gain on the balance sheet.
If unable to find a suitor for a swap deal, Inter are unopposed to the idea of a direct sale.
Inter are aware that it is unlikely any club will meet his €110 million release clause and would therefore accept a straight up deal of between €70-80 million but as things stand, no offers have arrived despite alleged interest from a number of clubs.
Tuttosport conclude their report by suggesting Icardi’s sale is essential for Inter fulfilling their transfer market objectives.
