Inter have already had direct contact with the representatives of Bruno Guimaraes with a view to a Summer transfer swoop for him according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Atletico Paranaense midfielder is in possession of an EU passport meaning he therefore will not count toward Inter’s non-EU player quota if they are to be successful in signing him.

Inter are however not the only club currently keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, who is primarily a defensive midfielder but also more than capable of playing as a traditional central midfielder.

As per the report, Inter face competition from Spanish side Valencia and Portuguese giants Benfica for Guimaraes’ signature.

In addition to them, fellow Italian club Napoli are also understood to be paying close attention. Due to Allan’s seemingly inevitable departure this Summer, the Partenopei have identified Guimaraes as a potential replacement for his fellow countryman.

This season he has made seven appearances across all competitions. In 605 minutes on the field he has scored three goals and tallied two assists.
