Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has spoken with Sky Sport ahead of Inter’s match at home to Chievo Verona tomorrow night at San Siro.

“It will be essential to win,” he began the interview with the Italian broadcaster.

“Is there a danger of underestimating Chievo? Absolutely not, the stakes are so high that everyone knows how to recognise them.

“Everyone has trained in the right way and has a clear goal in mind. I am sure that tomorrow we will perform very well.

He then refused to disclose who will start between Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez.

“Which player is ahead? I do not say anything on this because it would not be correct.”

In conclusion, he was asked if it has been difficult to work at Inter in recent weeks with all that has gone on.

“It’s been quite easy. It is important to take Inter back into the Champions League. Inter is what should be at the forefront of all the choices.”
