Spanish club Getafe could make a move for Inter’s Borja Valero in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Spaniard is under contract with Inter until the end of next season and his annual salary of €2.5 million is too big a salary for Getafe to entertain however they could offer him a longer contract to spread the cost of his salary.

Getafe have been one of the surprise stories of the season in Spain with them still in with a shout of qualifying for the Champions League heading into the final weekend of the season next weekend.

They have identified Borja Valero as a potential signing due to the experience that he could bring to the club.

The veteran midfielder is currently awaiting to see what Inter’s plans are for his future with the club and the report goes on to state that the change of coach from Luciano Spalletti to Antonio Conte could push him toward a return to his homeland.

This season the 34-year-old, who joined Inter in 2017 from Fiorentina, has made 37 appearances across all competitions. In 1659 minutes on the field, the former West Ham player has one assist to his name.
