Inter CEO Beppe Marotta stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, to share his thoughts going into tonight’s Serie A clash against Chievo Verona, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 21.00 CET.
Marotta was asked about the rumors concerning Antonio Conte replacing Luciano Spalletti which simply wont go away, to which he denied them once again.
“I think that it is the new generation of communication, we need to sustain ourselves because it can create problems. I think Spalletti’s work should be acknowledged, our objective was to qualify for the Champions League and we are doing this in the best way possible. I cannot understand the criticism that has been aimed at him recently.”
“We have an objective to achieve and we are aware of this, everything else bothers us. I am not saying that it destabilizes us but it creates turbulence which we have to deal with in the best way possible.”
