Inter coach Luciano Spalletti, is leaning towards starting with former Nerazzurri captain Mauro Icardi up front, in tonight’s Serie A clash against Chievo Verona at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 21.00 CET.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia who reports that the former Roma coach will play Icardi in the lone striker role against an already relegated Chievo team. Icardi will be flanked by Ivan Perisic and Matteo Politano with Radja Nainggolan playing in the number 10 role behind the Argentinian striker.
Furthermore, according to the report, given Stefan de Vrij’s injury, Brazilian international central defender Joao Miranda is expected to play at the heart of the defence together with Milan Skriniar.
The duo will be flanked to the right by Portuguese international full-back Cedric Soares, replacing the suspended Danilo D’Ambrosio, with Kwadwo Asamoah completing the Nerazzurri’s defensive line on the left.
