For the third time in his career, Luciano Spalletti could leave a club after securing Champions League qualification, Gazzetta dello Sport have highlighted.
It is being widely reported that Spalletti will be removed from his position in charge of Inter at the end of the season regardless of whether he qualifies Inter for the Champions League or not and replaced by Antonio Conte.
14 years ago, Spalletti led Udinese to the Champions League. Immediately after, he insisted he would not leave the Bianconeri amid interest in his services from Roma. However, weeks later, he left Udinese to take up the post at the Giallorossi.
The most recent instance came back in 2017 when he departed Roma. Spalletti led the Giallorossi to a record points total and at the end of the season he said he was unsure if he would be in charge the following season. As things would have it, he would not be, as he would take up the opportunity to become Inter manager.
