Inter’s Italian international winger Matteo Politano stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia to share his thoughts at halftime, in the Serie A clash at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza against Chievo Verona.

The former Sassuolo player, who scored the opener, was pleased but underlined that Inter have to score the second goal in order to put the game to rest.

“We knew before the match that they were approaching this match with this mentality. We managed to score and unblock the game but we have to score the second goal.”

Politano then reassured all Inter fans that he was not injured despite looking like he struggled towards the end when stating that: “I just took a hit towards the end but it is nothing serious.”

Politano joined Inter on loan ahead of this season from Sassuolo and including tonight’s goal, the Italian international has now scored 6 goals in all competitions for the Nerazzurri in 37 appearances.
