Matteo Politano focused on the importance of the first goal, which he scored, during his post-match interview with Inter TV after Inter’s 2-0 win over Chievo Verona.
“The first goal meant a lot as the game was not going the way that we wanted it to. We had to get back to winning to take back control of third place,” he began the interview.
“The goal proved fundamental to opening up the rest of the game for us.
He concluded by discussing Marcelo Brozovic’s absence: “Brozovic was missing today, but I think Borja Valero has the quality to move the ball and get it out wide.”
