Inter are getting closer to completing the signing of Ivan Rakitic from Spanish giants Barcelona according to a report from Sport.
The Nerazzurri are understood to have offered the Blaugrana a sum of €50 million for the Croatian midfield maestro, who is one of the club’s top Summer transfer targets.
The report from the Catalan newspaper goes on to detail that Barcelona are not opposed to selling the 31-year-old due to the fact they are unwilling to extend his contract past its current expiry date of the end of the 2020/21 season.
Rakitic has now opened himself up to the possibility of joining Inter during the Summer transfer window with the report claiming that he sees the move as a potentially excellent opportunity for his career.
This season he has been near ever present having made 52 appearances across all competitions. In over 4000 minutes on the field, the former Sevilla midfielder has five goals and nine assists to his name.
