Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport believe that Inter performed a better deal than arch-rivals Juventus when they picked Kwadwo Asamoah up from them on a free transfer last Summer whilst Juventus shelled out €40 million for Joao Cancelo, who had spent the previous season on loan at the Nerazzurri.

Asamoah has made some mistakes throughout the season, most notably against his former employers and in a Champions League match with PSV Eindhoven but more than made up for them with his steady and reliable performances throughout the campaign, where he only had a few below par performances.

Cancelo on the other hand, started life at the Bianconeri well, but has long disappointed Juventus manager Max Allegri due to his poor defending, which has showed no signs of improvement as the season has progressed, so much so that the 24-year-old Portuguese international is reportedly available to buy on the transfer market.
