Six players performances this season have granted them irreplaceable status at the club according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has passed what the Milan based newspaper are calling the ‘Marotta test’ due to keeping 17 clean sheets in Serie A. For this reason, Inter have slowed down their pursuit of a new goalkeeper for the post-Handanovic years but they are still considering whether to bring Andrei Radu back or not.

Central defenders Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar have also passed the test. The pair have been part of one of the best defences in Europe this season, alongside Kwadwo Asamoah, who has also impressed in his debut campaign at the club.

Inter’s midfield mastermind Marcelo Brozovic has also passed the test and even Radja Nainggolan, despite all his injuries and off-field problems, has as well. When the Belgian was fit and healthy, he showed what he was capable of and the club are keen to ensure they get him to full fitness over the Summer.
