Inter midfielder Joao Mario has today sustained an injury in training as Inter continue their preparations for this weekend’s match away to Napoli according to a report from Sky Sport.
The exact details of the injury that the Portuguese midfielder has sustained – that forced him to stop training – is as yet unknown but an update on his condition is expected to arrive shortly.
The 26-year-old’s injury is not the only injury problem that Inter manager Luciano Spalletti needs to contend with heading into Sunday night’s encounter with the Partenopei at the Stadio San Paolo.
Central defender Stefan de Vrij will miss the match while it also looks like winger Matteo Politano will too. Italian international Politano took a knock to his ankle in Monday night’s victory over Chievo Verona and as per some reports, he has sprained his ankle and looks to be a real doubt for the match in Naples.
