In an interview with Radio Sportiva, former Inter owner and president Massimo Moratti spoke on a range of Inter related topics.

Firstly he spoke on recent reports suggesting that Antonio Conte will become the next Inter manager and will replace Luciano Spalletti at the end of the season.

“Conte at Inter? I do not know how to properly judge it but I think it could be good,” he started before going on to speak about Inter’s present owners Suning.

“Inter’s owners Suning are friendly and very kind to me. Zhang is making a considerable effort to carry Inter forward.”

Moratti then spoke on Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, who took up his position at the club at the end of 2018.

“Marotta? I hope that with patience, he has the ability to put Inter back on a higher level than they are currently even if it is not easy to do.

He also spoke briefly on the recent Mauro Icardi controversy.

“I found the whole thing completely useless, they could have waited at least for the end of the year to stir up this whole mess.”

He concluded by speaking on whether or not he misses what he did at Inter.

“I don’t miss football, maybe I miss the habit of being around people but I like to follow Inter as a fan now.”
