Rai Sport journalist Ciro Venerato has commented on Milan Skriniar’s contract renewal with Inter through to the end of the 2022/23 season.
“Skriniar was the object of desire of clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Inter did everything possible and impossible to convince the boy to believe in the project, which will now go on with Conte and not with Spalletti,” he remarked in an interview with Radio Sportiva.
Venerato also discussed the recent speculation linking Daniele De Rossi with a move to Inter on a free transfer this Summer.
“I don’t think that De Rossi will go to Inter as he will have offers from abroad. I know there has been talk of a move to the USA.”
He concluded by speaking on Luciano Spalletti’s tenure in charge of the Nerazzurri.
“Spalletti has disappointed me whilst at Inter. The squad Inter have is not inferior to that of Napoli who finished. In terms of his choices and his communication, Spalletti was not a winner.”
