The recoveries of Matteo Politano and Stefan De Vrij are expected to take a bit longer, so therefore neither the Italian winger or the Dutch defender, will be available or at least starting against Napoli this Sunday, according to Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Joao Miranda and Antonio Candreva are the favourites to fill in for them, meanwhile, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Marcelo Brozovic served their one game suspensions against Chievo and are expected to fit straight back into the starting eleven. Despite Cedric’s strong performance, he is not considered part of Inter’s future.

Meanwhile, there is also a potential for some surprises. Roberto Gagliardini could start ahead of Matias Vecino following his good display against Chievo, while Vecino has been struggling in the last few games.

In addition, as always since his return, there is the toss up between Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez at the centre of attack, and despite the chances Icardi has been given, his lack of goals may force the change this weekend in a very important game.
