Journalist Fabrizio Biasin has discussed Luciano Spalletti’s seemingly inevitable departure from Inter and Antonio Conte’s presumed arrival at the club as part of his column in newspaper Libero.

“Spalletti knows that his destiny on the Inter bench is at serious risk, but he does not break down and goes straight on knowing that qualifying for the next Champions League, in any case, would be a great legacy to leave to his successor,” he began.

“Conte arriving at Inter is not at risk. The pact between him and Giuseppe Marotta is solid and very much confirmed. Conte will be the Inter manager except for any surprises.”

He also touched upon Mauro Icardi’s future at the club.

“Will there be room for Icardi at Inter? On Friday the Argentinian striker was quite clear about his desire to stay in Milan but his desire will have to match with who will be in charge.”
