Corriere dello Sport are of the belief that Lautaro Martinez will start over Mauro Icardi in Inter’s match away to Napoli tonight at the Stadio San Paolo.
The two Argentine’s have alternated between starting on the pitch and on the bench in recent weeks and going by that logic, it would be Lautaro’s turn to start.
It also makes more sense for the 21-year-old to start given his superior ability and holding the ball up and taking part in the build-up phase.
The report from the Rome based newspaper however warns that the fact Lautaro is one booking away from suspension could factor into Luciano Spalletti’s decision as he may not wish to be without him for next weekend’s season finale against Empoli.
Spalletti will also make a few other changes to the line-up that started against Chievo Verona last weekend.
Danilo D’Ambrosio and Marcelo Brozovic will return having served their suspensions meaning Cedric Soares and Borja Valero will drop out.
Antonio Candreva will also come into the starting line-up in place of Matteo Politano.
Inter predicted line-up (4-2-3-1): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Joao Miranda, Milan Skriniar, Kwadwo Asamoah; Matias Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic; Antonio Candreva, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic; Lautaro Martinez.
