Former Spartak Moscow coach Massimo Carrera believes that should Antonio Conte take over the reigns at Inter, he would have no problem adapting to life in charge of the Nerazzurri despite his Juventus background.
Carrera, who was Conte’s teammate at Juventus in the mid to late 90’s told Radio 24 that Conte is a professional who want to win above everything.
“This is a world made up of professionals. He would be Inter’s number 1 supporter, but it is normal that it would be like this. He is one of the best coaches in the world, he could give an important impression to the team.”
Carrera played for Juventus between 1991 and 1996 and was part of Marcello Lippi’s Bianconero team that won the Champions League, the UEFA cup, the Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.
Carrera also filled in as a caretaker coach at his former club when Conte was suspended as head coach for 10 months, before leaving for Spartak Moscow where he led them to a Russian Premier League title.
