No less than four Inter players were among the award winners at the Gentleman FairPlay 2019 event that took place at the Teulié Military School in Milan this evening.

The players were however not there to pick up the accolades due to a decision taken by the club for nobody to attend.

It is understood that this decision was taken in order to not affect anyone’s concentration in the lead up to this weekend’s season finale with Empoli which Inter need to win or they risk missing out on Champions League football next season.

Striker Lautaro Martinez picked up two awards in the shape of goal of the season and revelation of the season.

Defender Stefan de Vrij won the gentleman award itself whilst fellow defender Andrea Ranocchia was rewarded with a special loyalty award.

Youngster Marco Pompetti, who is part of the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side, won the award for young talent.
