Gazzetta dello Sport have analysed referee Daniele Doveri’s performance in last night’s match between Napoli and Inter which Napoli won 4-1.
The main moment of contention in the match came when Doveri awarded Inter a penalty in the 80th minute, which Mauro Icardi duly slotted home to give Inter a consolation goal.
Doveri was right to reward Inter with a penalty after Napoli’s Raul Albiol held Icardi back and caused him to lose balance and ultimately fall to the ground.
