Luciano Spalletti spoke with Radio Rai following Inter’s 4-1 thrashing at the hands of a relentless Napoli side last night at the Stadio San Paolo.
“It was a bad defeat. We started well but after we conceded the first goal we were no longer in a position to build play up,” he began the interview,
“We were not unlucky as we gave the ball away too often. In the second half I tried to do something different but things turned out to be more difficult in the first ten minutes. Napoli had a good performance. They have a good coach and a great team.
“We had an important reaction but we required more balance and better evaluation in certain moments of the match.”
He concluded by speaking briefly on next weekend’s match against Empoli, where a win would secure Inter’s place in the Champions League.
“We must prepare ourselves well and think about trying to win the next game.”
