Former sporting director turned football pundit Pierpaolo Marino has commented on the week ahead for Inter following their 4-1 defeat away to Napoli.

Heading into the season finale, Inter still have it all to do and they go into the game knowing that a victory will guarantee them their place in next season’s edition of the Champions League.

“Despite losing the game against Napoli, Inter is still in control of their own destiny, but they have to play against a an in form Empoli team. In this match, the difference in their league standings will not count. It will be a complicated week for Inter,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

He then spoke on Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez who were given a rare opportunity to play alongside each other at the Stadio San Paolo.

“Icardi and Lautaro are a strange partnership because they have both have characteristics that should allow them to break through on goal but neither of them made themselves available.
