According to a report from Sky Sport, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti confronted the team off the back of their 4-1 hammering from Napoli last night before training today.
It is understood that the former Roma manager asked the players for calm and complete concentration heading into this weekend’s season finale with Empoli, where they must win to absolutely guarantee themselves a place in the Champions League next season.
The coach reminded the team that Sunday’s match pits fourth from the top of the table (themselves) against fourth from bottom (Empoli) and they therefore should not be fearful of the match, that will take place at San Siro.
The report from the Italian broadcaster goes on to report that defender Stefan de Vrij will be back in full training alongside his teammates starting tomorrow.
The Dutchman has missed Inter’s past two games through injury and having trained separately again today, he is now in a position to resume full training.
