Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti addressed those in attendance at the hall of fame of Italian football presentation in Florence.
The Argentine, who spent almost his entire career with Inter firstly spoke on two values he deems very important.
“I saw my parents and how many sacrifices they made. Humility and sacrifice are values that will always accompany me and are values that I try to pass on to my children.
“With all due respect to the times of Facchetti times have changed, we try to pass on these values to the new generations. Football has changed a lot but these are values that go beyond everything.”
He then spoke on the two Milanese clubs.
“Inter and Milan are two great clubs with great history. I have always had great respect for Milan. For me it was an honour and a pride to be able to face the great Milan teams during my career.”
