Corriere della Sera have looked ahead to Inter’s season defining match against Empoli this weekend at San Siro and what the future holds for the Nerazzurri club.
“Inter against Empoli, in a normal world would have a foregone conclusion however Inter have entered psychodrama mode and in the collective perception, Empoli are Barcelona,” the report from the Milan based newspaper begins.
“Whatever happens, from Monday it will be another Inter, with Antonio Conte at the helm. While he is yet to sign his contract, the details have all been defined.
“He will have to rebuild the team from the ground up. Even though Inter could manage to finish third, they will still have picked up fewer points, scored less and conceded more among other things, compared to last year. Inter are in a moment of rescission.”
