Journalist Stefano Agresti has spoken on Luciano Spalletti’s future with Inter with it looking very likely to be away from the Nerazzurri.

“Spalletti has to take huge responsibility for Inter’s season therefore it is no coincidence that he and the club will go their separate ways come the end of the season,” he remarked in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

“Even if he gets Inter to the Champions League the final verdict is close to being a disaster.”

Antonio Conte has long been rumoured with succeeding him and Agresti said: “Conte has an agreement in principle with Inter which will be formalised so long as there are no sudden calls from Juventus as both Nedved and Paratici are trying to convince Agnelli.”

He also discussed the race for Champions League qualification that has gone right down to the wire.

“Who will go to the Champions League? Logic tells me Atalanta and Inter will but there are always surprises around the corner. “
